Fire systems are vital pieces of equipment that have alerted many home owners to the first instance of smoke, preventing the development of full blown fires and the resulting, awful consequences.
Around 80 per cent of homes and businesses have a fire alarm – twenty years ago, only five per cent did. As fire systems have become more popular, the numbers of residential fires has decreased. A recent survey found that UK homeowners named the fire alarm as their most important gadget.
All homes and business should be fitted with at least one form of fire system; the most common and readily available being a conventional wall smoke detector. These come in many varieties:
An optical smoke detector employs an internal LED which registers smoke as it passes in to a constant, pulsing light stream. The interruption of this stream triggers the alarm.
An ionisation alarm uses irradiated air in dual sensing chambers which produce ions that travel to positive and negative electrodes and creating a current. Smoke interrupts this flow and sets off the alarm.
Heat detectors use thermistors to measure temperatures. When the temperature is raised, the alarm starts.
Sounder / strobe alarms are more likely to be seen in factories or on external walls. These industrial systems employ both sound and light to alert people of any danger. These devices often comprise a micro computer which allows for the combination of smoke detection and heat modes. No one will be able to ignore the light and sound warning that this alarm emits.
The placement of your smoke alarm is very important and requires some thought. Ideally there should be more than one device in each building. In the home, place between sleeping areas, so on the landing and also between rooms where there might be risk, i.e. the kitchen and lounge.
They should not be placed in areas of high humidity, like bathrooms or by fans, windows or doors or at the top of A frame roofs where ‘dead air’ might prevent the smoke reaching the detector in time.
It’s all very well buying and installing fire alarms, if they are not maintained, they might not work. The alarm must be well maintained and power sources checked weekly.
Amazingly, statistics show that one in three smoke alarms fails to work in the event of a fire. Just when you think you are protected…

CCTV cable is most commonly just a simple piece of RG59 coaxial cable that is ran between your security camera and DVR or any other video viewing devices. The RG59 coaxial cable type is the best choice coaxial cable type for video transmission in a CCTV application. CCTV cable is really the common term that encompasses the cable and its use. In order to make a CCTV cable you will need to terminate the RG59 cable with male BNC connectors on each end. Both your DVR (Digital Video Recorder) and security camera both come equipped with built in female BNC connectors for the connection. The two most common types of BNC connectors used when building a CCTV cable are compression type and crimp type. Although both styles will create the connection you are trying to make there are positives and negatives to each solution.
• Crimp Type BNC Connectors for CCTV Cable:
A crimp style BNC connector is the most cost effective solution for attaching a BNC connector to your coaxial cable. The crimp mechanism of this BNC type uses a crimp tool to crush the metal sleeve of the connector in a way that it is attached to the coaxial cable. Although the crimp style solution gives you and inexpensive option it is not known as the most durable, secure, or long lasting way to terminate CCTV cables. Since a crimp is essentially crushing a connector around a cable it leaves room for moisture to get in and over time you may have connectivity issues. Also, over time the crimp begins to loosen and eventually the cable may disconnect from the connector. The end result of any poor connection will be poor video quality and eventual signal loss. The majority of all CCTV cable and CCTV system issues are crimp connector related.

Are you looking for a way to install cables for your CCTV cameras without buying tools, bulk cable, and connectors to do all the work? If so buying premade CCTV cables might be the best solution for you! Premade CCTV cables are basically your Siamese CCTV cable that is pre-terminated with connectors already on it so all you have to do is just plug your cameras in and you are ready to go! Premade CCTV cables are perfect for the person that is installing a system at their home or business and they just don’t want to invest in all the tools and supplies to make the cables on their own! All you have to do is measure the CCTV cable runs you need and choose the premade CCTV cables that support those cable run distances. Most premade CCTV cables are offered in black or white and in numerous lengths to support most camera cable distances.
Quality premade CCTV cables feature both the RG59 coax cable and the 18/2 power cable together in one easy to pull Siamese cable solution. The power cable of a premade CCTV cable has molded power connectors pre-installed that allow you to easily plug in a transformer to power your cameras. If you are using a central multi-channel power supply you can simply cut the connector off the power side and screw the power cable directly down on the terminal blocks located on the power supply. On the opposite side of the power supply there is also a power connector that allows you to simply install it right to the camera. On the coaxial cable of a premade CCTV cable you will have molded compression BNC connectors terminated on both sides. So one end of the RG59 coaxial cable will connect to your DVR via the BNC connector and the same will happen on the opposite side to attach to the security camera. So premade CCTV cables create a plug and play installation for you and save you time and money because you are not out there spending your time putting connectors on the ends of all your cables!

Today we are often served with a variety of news and criminal cases are very acute. Crime is caused by various factors such as lack of prevention can be linked by the authorities, there is no monitoring done by the management of the premises as well as our own responsibility.
This fact we must accept that we are responsible for living in harmony with the needs. One of the reasons why crime is happening is that they are not afraid to do so because they felt that all their actions was not to be viewed by society and lack of supervision
That is the importance of a system which can reduce the crime rate in the area. CCTV is an equipment which is very useful and very helpful it can not prevent a crime which is not desired.
CCTV systems can now be applied in private homes, business premises, shopping malls and so on. With the establishment of fast-growing sophistication of technology today, CCTV has been installed in the car may need. As the rain guards who gave shelter to protected the vehicle from rain as well as CCTV that can help vehicle owners of the occurrence of breaking into their vehicles
This is called the technology to help human life so much easier and organized. However, as the cover story should we accept the fact that technological sophistication is not mandatory for us and it is a necessity that helps people instead of a man is a slave to technology
Do not be predicated on the technology because we all have to worship God and trusted.
